Cyber Resilience Learning Network
The Scottish Government has created a National Leadership Group (NLG) on cyber security and part of that Group’s remit was to form sub-groups dedicated to specific aspects of cyber security. I was invited to the Cyber Resilience Learning Network (CRLN). The committee met for the first time on Friday in the Scottish Government offices in Glasgow.
The sub-group’s remit is essentially to explore ways of improving cyber resilience (which is about education and behaviours more than systems and processes) among the Scottish population. SQA has played a lead role in introducing cyber security qualifications into Scottish schools and colleges, and education is seen as a key aspect of cyber resilience.
It was a good meeting. One of the decisions we made was to have “core members” (the people who attended the meeting) and “extended members” who would join a virtual network to provide guidance and advice. The Network will make recommendations to the NLG, which, if accepted, will take them forward. Look out for more updates in future posts.
