Since my last update, I’m pleased to let you know that the QDT has agreed frameworks for NPA Computing at each of the three levels.

The qualification will have the same framework at each level:

Computing Fundamentals (mandatory)
Computing Project (mandatory)
Artificial Intelligence (option)
Computer Games: Development (option)
Computer Hardware & Systems (option)
Computer Network Fundamentals (option)
Computer Programming (option)
Data Science (option)
Data Security (option)
Emerging Digital Technologies (option)
Esports: Game Performance (option).

The qualification will comprise two mandatory units and two optional units (all units are single credit).

This framework provides a mixture of the familiar (programming, hardware, networking, etc.) and the new (AI, data science, emerging technologies, etc.).

The next stage in the development is to write a number of new units and we’re currently looking for volunteers to do this. Please complete this short form if you’re interested in helping.
