We&#8217;re looking forward to the coming year. I&#8217;m hoping that the focus this year is supporting the introduction of new qualifications &#8211; rather than creating lots of new ones. The team has managed and supported the development of 25 new qualifications in the last 18 months &#8211; so it&#8217;s time to consolidate.<\/p>\n<p>The main tasks facing the team include:<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>validating the revised HND Computing<\/li>\n<li>producing support materials for the new HND Computing<\/li>\n<li>producing support materials for the Multimedia awards<\/li>\n<li>helping centres to introduce the new Computing, Multimedia and Networking qualifications<\/li>\n<li>promoting and supporting the new SVQs for IT Users<\/li>\n<li>launching the new SVQs for IT Practitioners<\/li>\n<li>launching the new E-Qualifications suite of awards<\/li>\n<li>producing support materials for the E-Qualifications suite of awards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The team itself is changing. Shirley has recently been seconded to a new post. Caroline takes over from her. Another Officer (in addition to Caroline) will join the team in the next few months.
