This year&#8217;s event was chaired by the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/senior-external-verifier-for-computing\/\">new Senior External Verifier for Computing<\/a>. The role of the Senior EV has changed. It&#8217;s now more of a leadership role than a bureaucratic one.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the annual update is to ensure that EVs are familiar with procedures, and that they all apply the same standards during their visits to centres. A wide range of issues were discussed at the meeting including the assessment of Graded Units, plagiarism and malpractice.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/EV-meeting-2015.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1480\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/EV-meeting-2015-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"EV meeting 2015\" width=\"608\" height=\"343\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The qualification team give an update on new and revised awards at these events so that the EVs are aware of current and forthcoming changes. The <a href=\"http:\/\/1drv.ms\/1Ujo2Vt\">presentation <\/a>seemed to be well received and generated a lot of discussion.
