I&#8217;m delighted to report that the proposed changes were validated with conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of a validation event is for a Validation Panel (which must consist of people who were not involved in the development) to scrutinise a new (or revised) qualification by asking questions of the Qualification Development Team (QDT). The Panel consisted of representatives of colleges, universities, employers and SQA.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/DSC_0018.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2038\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/DSC_0018-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"dsc_0018\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a>\n<p>I thought that yesterday&#8217;s validation was particularly good with interesting discussions about the contents of the refreshed award. As a result, we&#8217;re going to make some changes to what we planned. I think the changes will improve it.<\/p>\n<p>I hope to have the new version of the qualification available to centres from <strong>January<\/strong>.
