This initiative aims to encourage kids aged 10-16 to program. Twelve kids attended, aged between 10-14, all boys except for one girl.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-BglrcslrbGw\/UCoj8V01GjI\/AAAAAAAANc8\/46ikBx06qgI\/s1600\/2012-08-11+11.11.53.jpg\" style=\"clear: left;float: left;margin-bottom: 1em;margin-right: 1em\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"384\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-BglrcslrbGw\/UCoj8V01GjI\/AAAAAAAANc8\/46ikBx06qgI\/s640\/2012-08-11+11.11.53.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>It was great fun. The kids are set challenges and allowed to work on a software project of their choice. A range of software development environments are available including HTML, Scratch, Python and Javascript. Some kids had programmed before but some were completely new to the field. I think that they all enjoyed it.<\/p>\n<p>The classes are free and held monthly.
