It contains useful information about course contents, delivery, resources and assessment.<\/p>\n<a style=\"background-color: #ffffff\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2021\/02\/2021-02-04-14_56_57-DP-071220-Educators-Guide-for-NPA-Data-Science.docx-Protected-View-Word.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3574\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2021-02-04-14_56_57-DP-071220-Educators-Guide-for-NPA-Data-Science.docx-Protected-View-Word-737x1024.png\" alt=\"NPA Data Science - image of Educator&apos;s Guide\" width=\"335\" height=\"465\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The <strong>Learner&#8217;s Guide<\/strong> is for pupils and students, and covers the contents of each of the three levels. You can access them directly via <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.sqa.org.uk\/secure\/NQGA_NCs_and_NPAs\/NQGA_Subjects\/Computing__IT_and_Related_Areas\">this link<\/a> (bottom of page).<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s also a new, dedicated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yammer.com\/sqacomputing\/#\/threads\/inGroup?type=in_group&amp;feedId=55097712640&amp;view=all\">online community on Yammer<\/a> to provide SQA- and peer-support to educators.<\/p>\n<p>The on-going health emergency has highlighted the vital importance of data science in modern societies, and there is a huge demand for specialists in this field. The NPA provides a stepping-stone to a career in data science but the knowledge and skills contained within it are useful to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d like to thank the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/\">Scottish Government<\/a> for funding these materials, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scotlandis.com\/\">ScotlandIS<\/a> for supporting them, and <a href=\"https:\/\/dataschools.education\/\">Data Education in Schools<\/a> (DES) for producing them.
