{"id":4203,"date":"2024-02-08T15:59:53","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T15:59:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sqablogs.lndo.site\/computing\/?p=4203"},"modified":"2024-02-08T15:59:53","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T15:59:53","slug":"npa-computing-structure-agreed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/npa-computing-structure-agreed\/","title":{"rendered":"NPA Computing structure agreed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since my<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/qdt-for-npa-computing\/\"> last update<\/a>, I&#8217;m pleased to let you know that the QDT has agreed frameworks for NPA Computing at each of the three levels.<\/p>\n<p>The qualification will have the same framework at each level:<\/p>\n<p>Computing Fundamentals (mandatory)<br \/>\nComputing Project (mandatory)<br \/>\nArtificial Intelligence (option)<br \/>\nComputer Games: Development (option)<br \/>\nComputer Hardware &amp; Systems (option)<br \/>\nComputer Network Fundamentals (option)<br \/>\nComputer Programming (option)<br \/>\nData Science (option)<br \/>\nData Security (option)<br \/>\nEmerging Digital Technologies (option)<br \/>\nEsports: Game Performance (option).<\/p>\n<p>The qualification will comprise\u00a0<strong>two mandatory<\/strong> units and\u00a0<strong>two optional<\/strong> units (all units are single credit).<\/p>\n<p>This framework provides a mixture of the familiar (programming, hardware, networking, etc.) and the new (AI, data science, emerging technologies, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>The next stage in the development is to write a number of new units and we&#8217;re currently looking for volunteers to do this.
