{"id":4272,"date":"2024-09-06T10:32:18","date_gmt":"2024-09-06T09:32:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sqablogs.lndo.site\/computing\/?p=4272"},"modified":"2024-09-06T10:32:18","modified_gmt":"2024-09-06T09:32:18","slug":"sqa-connections-week-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/sqa-connections-week-3\/","title":{"rendered":"SQA Connections Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the success of last year\u2019s SQA Connections Week, SQA will be running the event again from Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th October 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The online event offers schools, colleges and employers\/training providers the opportunity to learn about qualification updates, get insights into new developments, and develop ideas for the future.<\/p>\n<p>SQA Computing will be running the following session:<\/p>\n<p>Thursday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> of October<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4pm \u2013 5pm<\/strong>:\u00a0<strong>National Progression Award (NPA) in Computing Technology<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 this session will provide an overview of our new NPA Computing Technology SCQF levels 4,5,6.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NPA Computing Technology is a new qualification and there&#8217;s been a lot of interest from schools and colleges. This session will be delivered by a practising teacher, who will explain the contents of the qualification and discuss how best to embed it in the school curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>Delegates will be able to register for as many sessions as they like, and the event can be attended by anyone within a centre.<\/p>\n<p>You can book your place on our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/athena.sqameet.net\/\">event booking system<\/a>\u00a0If\u202fyou have not used our online event booking system before, you will need to register as a new user.<\/p>\n<p>Should you require support booking your place please contact our <a href=\"mailto:sqaevents@sqa.org.uk\">Events Team<\/a>.
