I’m pleased to let you know that the final assessments for the revised version of NPA Data Science are now available. This brings this development to a conclusion.<\/p>\n
The revised qualification has been available since March 2025<\/a>, when the group award specification was published. The revised units were published in late-2024<\/a>. The qualification itself has not changed — only the contents of the mandatory units. So, the frameworks remain the same.<\/p>\n Last session (session 2025\/26) dual running was possible or centres were permitted to mix-and-match units from the original and revised frameworks. However, this session (2026\/27) centres must use the revised units.<\/p>\n New assessments have been produced for the changed units. These are available on SOLAR. There are no ASPs for this qualification. There are knowledge and practical assessments (on SOLAR) for all of the mandatory units. We don’t normally provide assessments for optional units but we did develop assessments for Machine Learning at SCQF Levels 5 and 6.<\/p>\n There is dedicated online support for this qualification on the Computing Network Teams site<\/a>.
