{"id":558,"date":"2010-07-20T23:21:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-20T22:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sqablogs.lndo.site\/computing\/2010\/07\/20\/working-with-ceop\/"},"modified":"2010-07-20T23:21:00","modified_gmt":"2010-07-20T22:21:00","slug":"working-with-ceop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/working-with-ceop\/","title":{"rendered":"Working with CEOP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was in London today to meet with representatives of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceop.gov.uk\/\">CEOP<\/a>, who we are working with on a new qualification relating to child protection called the <i>PDA in Online Protection &amp; Safeguarding of Children<\/i>. This qualification is designed for teachers, police officers, social workers and others who work with children.<\/p>\n<p>As far as I know, it&#8217;s the first national qualification in this area in the world and, partly as a result of its innovative nature, it has been a long time in development. But we are now ready to pilot it.&nbsp;The qualification consists of two units and we plan to pilot the first unit (<i>Online Protection of Children<\/i>) during August and September.<\/p>\n<p>CEOP hopes that everyone who completes their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinkuknow.co.uk\/teachers\/paidtrainingDetails.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1\">Ambassador programme<\/a> will go on and at least undertake the above unit and, perhaps, the PDA too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:caroline.douglas@sqa.org.uk\">Contact Caroline<\/a> for more information about this qualification.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was in London today to meet with representatives of CEOP, who we are working with on a new qualification relating to child protection called the PDA in Online Protection &amp; Safeguarding of Children.
