{"id":63,"date":"2015-03-17T11:56:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-17T11:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sqablogs.lndo.site\/computing\/2015\/03\/17\/npa-cyber-security\/"},"modified":"2015-03-17T11:56:00","modified_gmt":"2015-03-17T11:56:00","slug":"npa-cyber-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/npa-cyber-security\/","title":{"rendered":"NPA Cyber Security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Qualification Development Team (QDT) for the new National Progression Award (NPA) in Cyber Security met yesterday for an all-day event to discuss the contents of the new awards.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em;margin-right: 1em\" href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-udG0moT6xxc\/VQf6kuXS6jI\/AAAAAAAAnLY\/1KO4f3Tqx_o\/s1600\/DSC_0018.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-udG0moT6xxc\/VQf6kuXS6jI\/AAAAAAAAnLY\/1KO4f3Tqx_o\/s1600\/DSC_0018.JPG\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>There was a good attendance (over 10 people attended), which allowed us to break into teams to look at each &#8220;strand&#8221; in the awards (data security, ethical hacking and digital forensics). We focussed on the purpose and outcomes in each unit, and made a lot of progress. We have already decided on the structure of the awards, so the next stage is to get down to writing the units. I asked for volunteers (to write the units) at yesterday&#8217;s event. In total, there will be nine new units.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re making good progress. We&#8217;re aiming to have the award validated in July and available to centres by August.
