{"id":759,"date":"2008-11-13T16:18:00","date_gmt":"2008-11-13T16:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sqablogs.lndo.site\/computing\/2008\/11\/13\/meeting-for-heads-of-computing\/"},"modified":"2008-11-13T16:18:00","modified_gmt":"2008-11-13T16:18:00","slug":"meeting-for-heads-of-computing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/meeting-for-heads-of-computing\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting for Heads of Computing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Caroline and I discussed plans today for the forthcoming meeting of Heads of Computing.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re a little late in organising it (it&#8217;s usually November each year) and I know that you do your plans for next year at this time so we were keen to hold it ASAP.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s event will take place on <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Friday, 12 December<\/span> commencing at <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">10am<\/span> and finishing at <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">3.30pm<\/span>. It will be held in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marriott.com\/hotels\/travel\/gladt-glasgow-marriott-hotel\/\">Marriott Hotel in Glasgow<\/a>. It should be a good event, including an overview of current curricular developments and a number of spotlights on such things as the new <a href=\"http:\/\/hndim.blogspot.com\/\">HND Interactive Media<\/a>, an update on the <a href=\"http:\/\/sqacomputing.blogspot.com\/2008\/11\/hnd-computer-games-development.html\">HND Computer Games Development<\/a>, changes to the National Occupational Standards, and Ron Dillin is going to speak about <a href=\"http:\/\/sqacomputing.blogspot.com\/2008\/09\/computing-performance-problems.html\">performance indicators in Computing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Caroline will write to every centre, providing a detailed agenda, in the near future. But, in the meantime, this is a date for your diary.
