{"id":871,"date":"2007-10-10T15:52:00","date_gmt":"2007-10-10T14:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sqablogs.lndo.site\/computing\/2007\/10\/10\/strathclyde-police-cadets-commence-internet-safety\/"},"modified":"2007-10-10T15:52:00","modified_gmt":"2007-10-10T14:52:00","slug":"strathclyde-police-cadets-commence-internet-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing-digital\/strathclyde-police-cadets-commence-internet-safety\/","title":{"rendered":"Strathclyde Police cadets commence Internet Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I met with Rob Hay, of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.strathclyde.police.uk\/\">Strathclyde Police<\/a>, and Steven Lamb, of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jameswatt.ac.uk\/indexns.asp\">James Watt College<\/a>, yesterday afternoon to agree arrangements for delivering the new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.box.net\/shared\/static\/92vb44z5jx.htm\">Internet Safety qualification<\/a> to police cadets.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m really pleased about this project since it&#8217;s a compliment to SQA that Strathclyde Police think that the qualification is good enough to give to every one of its new intake of cadets &#8211; with plans to adopt the unit as a formal part of the training programme in the future.<\/p>\n<p>One the main selling points of the qualification is its flexibility &#8211; it can be done entirely online or using a CD-ROM&#8230; which fits nicely with the cadet training programme since they are dispersed across Strathclyde in various police stations.
