NPA Esports next session
Since posting my update about NPA Esports, a couple of people contacted us to ask about offering the qualification next session (session 2022/23).
Firstly, I’d like to apologise for the delay. I had hoped to have the qualification up-and-running for the start of term. I knew the timescales were tight (six months instead of the usual 12) and the outcome of validation is never certain (that’s the purpose of having independent people scrutinise new qualifications).
I’m confident that the qualification will be available from September (hopefully 1 September) but that shouldn’t prevent you offering the qualification next session. We’d be delighted to share draft units and provide support to any centre that wants to offer the qualification. Any centre that comes forward will also have the opportunity to produce assessments for the new qualification (which is paid).
If you’re considering offering the qualification next session, please contact Megan. We’d like to know the centres (and the people within them) that are interested in the qualification so that we can support them next year.
