Diploma updates
As you know from previous posts, the new Diploma in Digital Technology at SCQF Level 8 has replaced the existing level 8 diplomas in Data Analytics (GL30 48) and Information Security Professionals (GJ74 48).
We are currently developing 3 new pathways for the Diploma in Digital Technology at SCQF Level 8, these are:
- Diploma in Digital Technology: Cloud Infrastructure
- Diploma in Digital Technology: IT Support
- Diploma in Digital Technology: Network Infrastructure
The above pathways will replace our current level 8 Diploma in Information Technology and Telecommunications Professionals (GL2T 48), which has been extended and will now go into lapsing on 31/10/2023.
We are also currently developing 5 new pathways for the Diploma in Digital Technology at SCQF Level 6, these are:
- Diploma in Digital Technology: Cyber Security
- Diploma in Digital Technology: Data Analytics
- Diploma in Digital Technology: Infrastructure
- Diploma in Digital Technology: IT Support
- Diploma in Digital Technology: Software Development
The above 5 pathways will replace our current level 6 diplomas in Information Security Professionals (GJ75 46) and in Information Technology and Telecommunications Professionals (GL2R 46), both of which have been extended and will now go into lapsing on 31/10/2023.
As for our level 5 diploma in Information Technology and Telecommunications Professionals (GL2L 45). We have extended this for a further year, therefore meaning that it will now go into lapsing on 30/04/2024.
We hope to have the diplomas currently being developed available to centres in the Spring.
