Approved changes to qualifications for 2026

The Qualifications Support Team (QST) meets annually to receive updates and consider qualification proposals submitted by centres, or individuals, throughout the year. Our annual meeting took place yesterday, 6 May.

Following constructive discussions on the qualification proposals to be considered, I am happy to advise that the following changes were approved:

  1. HNC Digital Design and Web Development (GL7Y 15) – Addition of Agile Development: Introduction (HT9H 34) as an optional unit.
  2. NPA Computing Technologies (GV6W 44) – Addition of Information System Design and Development (H226 74) as an optional unit.
  3. NPA Computing Technologies (GV6W 45) – Addition of Computing: Website Design and Development (HW52 45) as an optional unit.
  4. NPA Computing Technologies (GV6W 46) – Addition of Computing: Authoring a website (F3T2 12) as an optional unit.

The team will now process these changes. The units will be available for delivery from August 2026.
