This is the third year of the event and the turn-out was much higher than previous years (more than 200 people compared to less than 100 two years ago). There were representatives from most UK awarding bodies as well as representatives from many colleges (including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.glenrothes-college.ac.uk\/website\/index.asp\">Glenrothes College <\/a>in Scotland).<\/p>\n<p>The photo shows Martin Ripley of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qca.org.uk\/\">QCA<\/a> giving the keynote speech. Martin outlined <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qca.org.uk\/6877.html\">QCA&#8217;s ambition plans for e-assessment<\/a> in England and Wales. The day consisted of a number of presentations and seminars. Presentations included <em>E-Assessment in Vocational Education<\/em> (Pat Craven of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocr.org.uk\/OCR\/WebSite\/docroot\/index.jsp\">OCR<\/a>) and <em>The Power of the E-Portfolio<\/em> (Mike Dawe of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.city-and-guilds.co.uk\/servlet\/page?_pageid=680&amp;_dad=cg2&amp;amp;_schema=PORTAL30\">City &amp; Guilds<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>I gave a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smartgroups.com\/vault\/e-qualifications\/SQA\/E-Assessment%5Fconference.ppt?action=get\">short presentation <\/a>on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smartgroups.com\/groups\/e-qualifications\"><em>E-Qualifications<\/em> <\/a>which was well received and generated a lot of interest.
