It was an all day meeting to focus on finalising the qualification. We spent a lot of time considering the consultation feedback and looking at the contents of the units.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/DSC_0049.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1285\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/DSC_0049-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0049\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/DSC_0049-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/DSC_0049-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/DSC_0049-600x338.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>We&#8217;ve made a lot of progress in a short period of time. The units will be finalised in the next few days, as will the Group Award Specification, so that we can go forward to validation, which takes place on <strong>25 June<\/strong>. After that, we will revise the qualification (if required) and make it available to centres from <strong>1 August<\/strong>. The component units (there are nine new units) will be available from the same date.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s been a great deal of interest in this qualification, and I am expecting several centres (schools and colleges) to offer it next session. <a href=\"mailto:helen.zhang@sqa.org.uk\">Contact Helen<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The QDT for NPA Cyber Security met yesterday.
