These are workplace qualifications (mostly) offered by training providers.<\/p>\n<p>My team deal with three sectors: (1) schools; (2) colleges; and (3) training centres. During the last few years, training centres haven&#8217;t received the same attention as colleges and schools. So this event was overdue.<\/p>\n<p>There was an excellent turnout with over 30 people in attendance and presentations from\u00a0<em>Skills Development Scotland<\/em>, <em>Tech Partnership<\/em> and a leading training provider &#8211; among others. There were more presentations (and less &#8220;networking&#8221;) than normal but that was the result of having lots of information to impart. Hopefully, future meetings will be better balanced.<\/p>\n<p>I announced the creation of a new <a href=\"http:\/\/groupspaces.com\/SQAComputingTraining\/\">online support group for training centres<\/a> (similar to the new school and college groups).
