The QDT for the <a href=\"http:\/\/sqacomputing.blogspot.co.uk\/2013\/06\/nc-review.html\">NC Review<\/a> also wants to do this for the revised NC awards, which are under development. We plan to make an &#8220;Academic Skills&#8221; unit mandatory at SCQF Level 6 and an option at SCQF Level 5.<\/p>\n<p>The sort of things that would appear in these units include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">referencing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">structured writing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">researching<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">plagiarism<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">study skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">selecting sources<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">learning styles<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">study skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: inherit\">time management.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It would be interesting to know your views on this and what skills should be included in these units.
