As many of you will know, we&#8217;re developing a suite of new qualifications over the next three years: <em>HNC Cyber Security<\/em>, <em>HND Cyber Security<\/em> and <em>PDA Cyber Security<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re currently working on the HNC qualification. It&#8217;s coming along well. The Qualification Development Team (and some others) is busy with writing the units that will make up the award. We&#8217;re developing a large number of new units such as <em>Data Security<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Digital Forensics<\/em>, <em>Professionalism &amp; Ethics in Cyber Security<\/em>, <em>Social Engineering<\/em> and <em>Scripting for Security<\/em>. You can see a draft version of the qualification structure <a href=\"https:\/\/1drv.ms\/w\/s!Av71_tveB0_uhccOqDOSXNAVSqTJHg\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We hope to have the units finished by early <strong>April,<\/strong> the qualification validated in <strong>June<\/strong> and available to centres in <strong>August.<\/strong> Then we&#8217;ll turn our attention to the HND, which we plan to have complete by Spring 2019. We will develop the PDAs (at SCQF Levels 7, 8, 9) in parallel with the HND.
