There are several new units including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data Security<\/li>\n<li>Digital Forensics Case Studies<\/li>\n<li>Internet of Things<\/li>\n<li>Penetration Testing<\/li>\n<li>Scripting for Security<\/li>\n<li>Social Engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also took the opportunity to update some existing units, such as <em>Digital Forensics<\/em> and <em>Ethical Hacking<\/em>. The current <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/refreshed-hnd-computer-science\/\">review of HND Computer Science<\/a> has produced several new units and we plan to use two of these in this award &#8211; <em>Computer Architecture<\/em> and <em>Machine Learning<\/em>. So, the <em>HNC Cyber Security<\/em> is shaping up to be an exciting mix of cyber security and computer science units. We&#8217;re dedicating time this week to validating the new and revised units, which is the final stage in their development.
