{"id":2725,"date":"2018-08-24T14:21:23","date_gmt":"2018-08-24T13:21:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/?p=2725"},"modified":"2018-08-24T14:21:23","modified_gmt":"2018-08-24T13:21:23","slug":"freeze-on-changes-to-hn-computing-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/freeze-on-changes-to-hn-computing-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Freeze on changes to HN Computing awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some time ago, I reminded you about the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/adding-units-to-qualifications\/\">procedure for making small changes to existing qualifications<\/a>, such as adding a unit to the options.Because we have <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/hn-review-is-about-to-commence\/\">commenced the HN Review<\/a>, we will no longer &#8220;tweak&#8221; the qualifications involved in that development.<\/p>\n<p>The review is a root-and-branch look at the suite of awards so it&#8217;s not appropriate to continue to tweak awards that were devised six years ago. This means that the review team aren&#8217;t reviewing &#8220;shifting sands&#8221; and have fixed frameworks to work with. So we will freeze the current frameworks and, eventually, replace them with completely new structures.<\/p>\n<p>This only applies to the qualifications involved in the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/hn-review-is-about-to-commence\/\">HN Review<\/a>.
