A number of events have been arranged to help college lecturers deliver the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sqa.org.uk\/sqa\/84394.html\">HNC Cyber Security<\/a>. Each event will cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an introduction to cyber security<\/li>\n<li>how cyber security is applied in a real world setting<\/li>\n<li>demonstrations of aspects of cyber security that can be recreated with students in class<\/li>\n<li>discussions on the HNC in Cyber Security which focus on sharing existing learning and expertise in this area and considering how this can be delivered<\/li>\n<li>an update on developments relating to <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/hnd-cyber-security-update\/\">HND Cyber Security<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These events will have input from academia and industry, so they will have a different feel to the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/digital-skills-partnership-event\/\">events that ran in the last academic year<\/a>.\u00a0Details of the events are below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesday, 14 November \u2013 from 10:30 \u2013 17:00 at Edinburgh College (Sighthill campus)<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, 21 November \u2013 from 10:30 \u2013 17:00 at Glasgow Clyde College (Cardonald campus)<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, 28 November \u2013 from 13:15 \u2013 15:30 \u2013 webinar \u2013 details to be confirmed<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, 5 December \u2013 from 13:30 \u2013 17:00 in Glasgow &#8211; University of Glasgow (School of Computing Science)<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, 12 December \u2013 from 13:30 \u2013 17:00 at Edinburgh College (Sighthill campus).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please <a href=\"mailto:lesley.broadwood@scotlandis.com\">contact Lesley Broadwood<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Digital Skills Partnership (DSP) is an initiative from Scotland IS to provide CPD to college and university lecturers.
