As stated in a previous <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/npa-cyber-security-enhanced-materials\/\">post<\/a>, we are also producing alternative assessments for this award. The assessments will follow a portfolio approach and will be based around tasks and activities that have been produced as learning and teaching materials for these NPAs. Therefore, learners will be able to generate evidence in the classroom and use it for assessment purposes. The alternative assessments will be available on<em>\u00a0<\/em>SOLAR.<\/p>\n<p>These assessments will not replace the assessments that are currently available on SQA Secure, which are still valid and used by centres. However, it will provide an opportunity to assess candidates in an alternative way.<\/p>\n<p>We had hoped for the assessments to be ready before the Christmas break. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, there was a delay in getting started, but work is now underway.
