This means that two Computing qualifications will be available from August 2021.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>HNC Computing<br \/>\nHND Data Science.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The other HNDs (Computer Science, Networking &amp; Infrastructure, and Software Development) will be developed in phase 2, for availability in August 2022.<\/p>\n<p>These new qualifications will be different from existing Higher National awards in a number of respects and will initially be available to a limited number of centres as prototypes. One of the most important changes is the separation of HNCs and HNDs, so that new HNDs will be stand-alone, one year qualifications in their own right.
