I’m pleased to let you know that Emma has been promoted within SQA. Emma has been my Qualifications Officer (QO) since March 2016 and is becoming a Qualifications Co-ordinator in a different team from Monday (1 March). It’s an internal secondment, lasting 18 months, and I’m actively looking for an internal replacement. The interviews will take place next week and I hope to have a new person within the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
In the meantime, there will be some reshuffling of responsibilities. Emma will continue to deal with SVQ\/CBQ and Apprenticeships but Helen will take over the rest of Emma’s responsibilities until the new person is in position, when we will carry out a more permanent reshuffling. It’s probably best to use the team e-mail address (computing@sqa.org.uk) and one of us will pick it up.<\/p>\n
This also means that Helen will revert to taking lead officer responsibilities for the review of HNC Computing, as part of HN-NG, which means she is the lead officer for HNC Computing and HND Data Science.<\/p>\n
I’d like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Emma for her help over the last five years. I’ve been fortunate to have two such exceptional officers to help me.
