The validation event <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qualifications.gov.scot\/computing\/validation-event-for-hnc-esports\/\">took place in June<\/a>. We had originally planned to launch the qualification this session (session 2025\/26) but no centre came forward so it will be offered from next session (session 2026\/27). Although we were disappointed in that, it did give us more time to address the validation conditions, which we are currently working through.<\/p>\n<p>It will also give us time to help centres prepare for the qualification if you let us know if you&#8217;re considering it for next session. If you are, please <a href=\"mailto:emma.campos@sqa.org.uk\">let Emma know<\/a> so that we can provide pre-delivery support to you. We also plan to provide support through a dedicated Microsoft Team so that when you start delivery you will have plenty of help and advice.<\/p>\n<p>Although the qualification isn&#8217;t yet validated, there&#8217;s plenty of information that we can share with you &#8212; such as the qualification framework and unit specifications.
