The group award event is the one where a panel check the qualification proposal from an educational and employment perspective. Many of you will have served on such a validation panel in the past. An operational validation is an internal process to check that the proposed award &#8220;will work&#8221; &#8211; in other words, SQA can actually implement it.<\/p>\n<p>Today we had the operational validation for three new NPAs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NPA Still Images, Audio and Video (at SCQF Levels 4 and 5)<\/li>\n<li>NPA Animation (at SCQF Level 5).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There were a few minor conditions but nothing serious. The next stage is the group award validation, which will take place later this month.<\/p>\n<p>All three awards will be available to centres from July.
