NextGen: HN Accounting and Community of Practice Launch Event

This online event took place on Wednesday 27 May and successfully launched the new NextGen: HN Accounting HNC, HND, and PDAs.

We introduced the design principles and aims of the qualification review as well as the frameworks and unit content of the new qualifications. Two of our pilot centres shared their experience of delivering the new qualifications.
We also discussed:
• Grading, Meta-skills, and Learning for Sustainability.
• Professional body exemptions attached to the new qualifications.
• Qualification verification activity good practice and assessment methods.

We also launched the community of practice, a collaborative forum to share experiences, materials and assessments, which will support qualification delivery. If you’re interested in joining the community of practice, please email John Elliott – john.elliott@ext.qualifications.gov.scot
