Stay up to date with Computing and Digital Blogs

Welcome to Aneta

I’m delighted to let you know that Emma is having a baby. She stops on Friday (29th) for maternity leave. Her baby is due in early May. Humanity’s gain is my loss. Emma has been a great help to me (and Helen) since she joined the team. The good news is that Aneta Morrison is joining the team. In fact, she has already joined the team. This week I’ve had the luxury of having both Emma and Aneta working with me.…

Useful links

I updated the “Useful Links” section on the right-hand panel today to include links to information such as the latest portfolio diagram, Unit search pages and the Computing subject page on the SQA website. Please check it out. The right-hand panel also has other useful links including a way of receiving blog posts straight into your inbox. I’ll keep these links up-to-date so that, for example, the link to the portfolio diagram is always pointing to the latest version. Please…

In the…

It was a really enjoyable day and hopefully worthwhile for everyone to finally get to see what the guides look like. The event was introduced by Alastair MacGregor, Head of STEM at SQA and began with keynotes from Colin Cook, Head of Digital at Scottish Government and David McNeill, the new Director of SCVO. Contributors…

Yammer

The team use social media for a range of things. Regular readers will know that we’ve been blogging for a long time, we have a Twitter feed, and we use e-groups to support centres. More recently, we have started to use Yammer. We have a network on Yammer for people involved in developing Computing qualifications. This morning I created a new group about assessment where we will have conversations, and ask questions, about educational assessment. Unlike most of the social…
