New ideas or suggested changes?

I received an e-mail today from a teacher who suggested a change to an NPA. Receiving suggestions is great since it permits us to improve qualifications. There are two ways you can make suggestions. One is to complete an Ideas Capture Form. This is for when you have an idea for a new qualification. Once we receive this from you, we will take over and investigate if the idea is viable. HNC Computer Science and HNC Data Analytics

This development commenced in August and since then we’ve made good progress. I met with the Lead Developer (Denise Doyle of Glasgow City College) yesterday afternoon to discuss recent progress. The prime aim of the development is to create two awards that articulate with the University of Strathclyde’s Digital Academy but they will be national qualifications and, therefore, must serve a wider audience. HNC/D Interactive Media update

Helen and I met with the Lead Developer (Fiona Murnin of New College Lanarkshire) this afternoon to discuss progress with this development. It’s at the same stage as the HNC/D Computer Games Development review – the team are busy writing the new and revised units. PDA Software Development Units

One of the conditions arising from the recent validation event for the new PDA in Software Development was to finalise the component Units. We’ve been working on them since then and they’re almost ready for publishing. SCQF rating

SCQF is Scotland’s national qualification framework. All SQA awards are given an SCQF credit and level. We also provide an SCQF rating service to third parties. This means that SQA will credit and level a qualification from another organisation. I was pleased when Microsoft approached SQA to credit and level some of their qualifications.
