Safety fears holding back education?
Today’s Herald has an article about the use of Web 2.0 in the classroom – and it features someone that most of us know very well. Walter argues that safety fears over new technology are holding back the use of new technology in the classroom. Definitely worth a read.

Unfortunately the reporter didn’t include the fact that one way to address the issue is by educating people on the safe use of the Internet – using SQA Internet Safety unit as an example. And I wasn’t quite as negative as this – honest! I also referenced the recent HMIE report but that got canned as well.
