Qualification Development Team meeting for Next Gen HN
The Qualification Development Team (QDT) for this development met for the third time recently. Once again, there was an excellent turn-out by members. The QDT consists of representatives of colleges, universities and employers.
I provided an update on the work carried out over the summer, but the main item of business was agreeing the final form of the qualification frameworks. We agreed the frameworks for three Higher National Qualifications.
Please note the change in title for the networking qualification, which is now HND Networking & Cloud Infrastructure (it was HND Networking & Infrastructure).
We now have the task of creating the 20 new and revised units that will make-up these qualifications. I’m pleased to let you know that we’ve had a great response to our request for volunteers with 17 people selected to write or vet the units.
The units will be written between now and the end of November. I hope to complete the development by the end of this year. Please contact Amy for more information.
